I’m a GRC Engineer with interests across security engineering, offensive security, cloud infrastructure, and mathematics. I like understanding how systems work, where they break, and how to improve security in a way that is technically sound, practical, and not needlessly painful for the people who have to live with it.
My background includes an M.S. in Applied and Computational Mathematics, a B.S. in Mathematics, and several technical certifications across security, Kubernetes, and AWS. So yes, I do genuinely enjoy technical rabbit holes, command-line tools, and figuring out why something broke even when it really should have been simple.
A lot of my work sits at the intersection of technical security and governance. I enjoy building things, improving processes, and translating security problems into something teams can actually understand and act on. I like security best when it is useful, not theatrical.
Outside of work, I spend time on penetration testing labs, technical projects, and the occasional side quest that started as “this should be quick” and absolutely was not.
What I Do
Governance, Risk & Compliance - I help organizations work through security requirements, risk decisions, and control expectations in a way that is grounded in how systems actually operate, not just how they look on paper.
Offensive Security - I spend time on penetration testing labs, CTFs, and hands-on technical exercises to keep my skills sharp and to better understand how systems fail in the real world. My Hack The Box writeups are part of that process.
Cloud & Container Security - I’m interested in AWS, Kubernetes, container security, and the engineering work required to secure modern infrastructure in a practical way.
Technical Writing & Projects - I enjoy writing about the things I build, break, fix, or learn along the way, especially when the lesson came from spending far too long on something that was supposed to be straightforward.
